Ivan Hrstić, PhD, is a research associate at the Ivo Pilar Institute of Social Sciences in Zagreb. His research and publications are mainly in the area of twentieth-century European social history. In 2012, he held a fellowship at the Central European University in Budapest (Hungary) to undertake research on his doctorate. In 2016 he was an Endeavour Research Fellow at the University of Adelaide (Australia). He has contributed to several collaborative research projects in Croatia and he was a substitute for two EU COST Actions (IS 1205 Social psychological dynamics of historical representations in the enlarged European Union and IS 1308 Populist Political Communication in Europe: Comprehending the Challenge of Mediated Political Populism for Democratic Politics).
