Ayşe Berna Uçarol is a PhD candidate in Sociology at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in Istanbul. She received her B.A. degree in Sociology (1998) from the University of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts and her M.A. degree in International Relations (2002) from the University of Istanbul. Her research interests include labor, labor rights, neoliberalism and qualitative research methods. She has experience as a research assistant in a qualitative research project (2010-2012) which was also supported by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK). The project title was “Istanbul City of Labor: The Social and Spatial Practices of Work Life in the Metropolis”. She was also an invited lecturer in private Universities in Istanbul.
